Asean Development's Directors provide advisory services & training in strategy, leadership, governance & personal development. Our clients include individuals, companies, NGO's & Government agencies - typically ones the Director's have an established trusted advisor relationship with.
Our aspiration is to enhance mutual understanding & regional integration by sharing lessons of both successes & failures with Australian & international blue chip firms - & Governments. We do this not only through our advisory work but also via our extensive writing, public speaking & training programs.
Many of our clients face challenges with Governments &/or business partners in the region. We can often assist by adapting governance models to better align with strategy. This may require the design, creation & management of one or more regional or national advisory councils to provide insight, trusted advice - & access - to key decision makers & respected thought-leaders. While we always recommend independent, trusted nationals for key roles on these Councils we may also participate as trusted advisers & 'coaches' to the members.
Our Services are provided on program/retainer or specific task/issue basis. For selected Government agencies & NGO's we may elect to work on a pro bono basis. The issues we are asked to address often have a pan regional theme & draw on the Directors' experience & their trusted networks. Examples of past assignments the Directors have played key roles in include:
- Aligning partners around new strategies & governance models by design, & involvement in, new regional advisory boards & councils
- Conflict resolution between regional governments, & between leading MNC’s & their local partners &/or regional Governments
- Application of best practice corporate techniques to the development of national strategies, economic plans & ‘Reengineering of Government’ programs
- Mentoring & Training of senior Government, Defence/National Security & SoE leaders in how to ‘Turn Strategy into Action’
- Development & implementation of strategic plans, war-games & aligned organisational & governance models designed to accelerate sustainable leadership development, performance improvement & value creation in often very complex stakeholder environments
- The rescue, restructuring & performance improvement of Government & privately owned banks, airlines, utilities, car companies & conglomerates in the region plus codifying the lessons into national SoE transformation programs
